Oasis North is a multi-generational church that is diverse not only in ages, but in personalities, backgrounds and experiences. The things which bring us together are our love for God, the difference He has made in our lives and our sense of family. When we think of church, we think of family--a warm, welcoming place to be with people who accept us for who we are and who share our highs and lows. There are times when we share our experiences and the wisdom that God and life have taught us, or sometimes we might share material resources to meet a need. Whatever the challenge, we want to be practical and affect lives of our "family" members and those in our communities.

As each person brings their unique character and gifts to the group it benefits the whole. We worship as one brings a song, we pray as one bares their heart, we learn as one teaches from God's Word, and we are stirred to action as another brings a challenge.

We encourage our children to participate in whatever we're doing. We always want them to feel like a part of us, never falling prey to the notion that God and church are for "grown-ups." We treasure our children as individuals who need to find their own relationship with God and not rely on us as adults for their access to spiritual life. It has been a wonderful thing to see our young ones reach for a destiny that is theirs alone and follow their hearts to other cities and other nations to share their faith and love.

Oasis North loves to be involved in missions. Whether supporting someone traveling to far off lands to work and share the Gospel, or reaching out to friends, co-workers, or working to benefit our community, we love to see God at work. We believe in taking action. After all, Christianity is not just something we believe in.  Jesus taught us by His example as he went around doing good, and demonstrating the love of the Father here on earth.  He also said, "he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

We believe that God has called us to be, "a community of believers, making a difference everyday."
